This Wednesday, the Mariinsky Concert Hall hosts Andoni Andrada — the Spanish organist who just won First Prize at the ECHO International Organ Competition 2026. One concert, two days away. Tickets are still available.

Who is Andoni Andrada

ECHO — the European Concert Hall Organisation — runs one of the most prestigious young-musician competitions in Europe. Winning first place means invitations to leading stages across the continent. Andrada's St. Petersburg appearance is part of his laureate tour and unlikely to repeat soon.

About the Festival

The concert is part of the XIV International Organ Festival at the Mariinsky. The hall's German-built organ is one of the largest instruments in Russia, and the room's acoustics were designed around it.

Getting there

Address: ul. Dekabristov, 37 — the Concert Hall, not the historic main stage or Mariinsky II. Nearest metro: Sadovaya or Sennaya Ploshchad, about 15 minutes on foot.

Arrive 20 minutes early: latecomers are not admitted until the interval.

Tickets

Buy online at mariinsky.ru or at the box office. For a named laureate concert, seats go fast — don't leave it until the day.

Practical notes

Checked: 26 October 2026

The Mariinsky Theatre box office is open daily from 11:00 to 19:00. Online booking is available through the official Mariinsky website. Tickets for popular concerts sell out quickly, especially on weekends and during festival programmes. The Concert Hall organ is one of the largest in Russia, with a sound that fills the space at full physical volume. If you have not heard a solo organ concert live before, this is a strong introduction. The ECHO competition selects the best young organists in Europe — a first-prize winner on this instrument is a reliable evening.
