Sevcable Port's annual Resident Day runs November 7–8. Fifty resident businesses — studios, workshops, small manufacturers, cafés and showrooms — open to the public. Most events are free. According to the venue's official channel, participants collect stickers throughout the day, exchangeable for souvenirs.

What to Expect

The format is self-guided: you move freely across the territory, drop into whichever workshops interest you, and join sessions on the fly. Usually closed working spaces become walkable — you can watch production processes, do short hands-on sessions, or just look around.

Seven November is likely busier (first day, start of holiday weekend). For fewer crowds, arrive Sunday morning, November 8.

Getting There

Address: Kozhevennaya Liniya 40, Vasilievsky Island. From Vasileostrovskaya metro, take a bus or tram — around 20–25 minutes. Walking from the metro takes about 35 minutes.

A taxi or transfer from the centre takes 15–20 minutes without traffic.

Combining with Other Sights

Vasilievsky Island makes sense as a full-day destination: Resident Day in the morning, then the Strelka (the island's eastern tip with Rostral Columns), Kunstkamera or the Hermitage's main building in the afternoon. All walkable from each other or a short trip on surface transport.

Where to Stay

Vasilievsky Island has solid accommodation options. From here, the Hermitage is a 20-minute walk across the bridge; the city centre is one metro stop.

November 7–8 falls in the holiday weekend — book in advance.

Sevkabel Port is located on the western tip of Vasilyevsky Island, close to the Gulf of Finland. The port district was a working industrial zone until recently; the transformation into a cultural and creative hub is relatively new, which gives the space an authentic rather than manufactured feel. Residents Day makes that backstory visible: you see people actually working in studios, not just selling at a market.
