"Free entry on your birthday" is a line that's easy to find in old round-ups and almost impossible to confirm on a museum's own website. We checked more than twenty museums, attractions and restaurant chains in St Petersburg against their official pages on 19 October 2026. Not a single museum offers free birthday entry, but nine places do give a real discount, gift or bonus — with clear terms.
One rule applies everywhere: bring ID showing your date of birth (for foreign visitors, a passport works). And almost everywhere the offer runs not just on the day itself but for a few days before and after — handy if your birthday falls midweek and you'd rather celebrate at the weekend.
🚂 Grand Maket Rossiya: 25% off a ticket
The most generous museum discount is at Grand Maket Rossiya, a giant model of Russia with trains, ports, cities and thousands of tiny figures, where day turns to night every few minutes. The museum's terms: "a 25% discount on the entry ticket for the birthday person on their birthday, and for 3 days before and 3 days after."

One catch: the discount covers only the birthday person's ticket; companions pay full price. The website doesn't say which document to show — take your passport.
⚓ Petrovskaya Akvatoriya: 15% for you and your friends
The Petrovskaya Akvatoriya ("Peter's Waters") model museum shows 18th-century St Petersburg and its suburbs in miniature, complete with water, ships and fountains. Since February 2026 it has had a new address: Great Gostiny Dvor, Sadovaya line, second floor (35 Nevsky Prospekt).

The terms here are broader: "a 15% discount for birthday guests on entry tickets and interactive programmes, for the birthday person and their group, on the birthday and for 3 days before and 3 days after." Photo ID with your date of birth is required, and the discount doesn't combine with other offers. If you're going as a group, this is the best deal on the list — everyone gets 15% off.
🎂 Bushe: a cheaper cake
Bushe, a St Petersburg bakery chain, gives 15% off any cake or tart from its main menu on your birthday and for three days either side. Show a passport, driving licence or birth certificate at the till. If you order online, a personal promo code arrives three days before your birthday and is valid for a week.

The exclusions are spelled out too: holiday and limited-edition cakes, the large raspberry vensel and the "random choice" option are not included.
🍣 Evrasia and Shokoladnitsa: bonuses and dessert
These are loyalty-programme offers rather than discounts, so you need to sign up in advance.
Evrasia, a sushi and pan-Asian restaurant chain, returns 25% of your bill as bonus points on an Evrasia Bonus or Evrasia Club card and gives you a dessert. The offer runs on your birthday and for six days afterwards, but only if the card is registered in your online account with your date of birth — and it activates on the second day after registration. The free cheesecake is given once, and only on the birthday itself.
Shokoladnitsa, a café chain, credits 500 gift bonus points for an order placed within five days before or after your birthday. You must enter your date of birth in the app at least five days ahead and give the waiter a six-digit code from the app. The points arrive the next day, so you spend them on your next visit. This is a chain-wide offer, not specific to St Petersburg.
