Piter Pass

Editorial Policy

Effective Date: April 17, 2026

Last Updated: April 17, 2026

Piterpass publishes independent travel guides to Saint Petersburg, Russia. This page describes how we research, write, edit and update that content — and how to contact us if you spot an error.

Our goal is simple: every article you read should be genuinely useful for someone planning a trip, with up-to-date facts and clearly attributed opinions.

1. Authorship

Every article on Piterpass is published under a named human author who is responsible for the content. Authors have travel and editorial backgrounds and are based in or regularly visit Saint Petersburg.

You can find each author’s bio, role and full article history on their author page (linked from every article byline).

2. AI Assistance Disclosure

We use AI tools (currently Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini) to assist with drafting and translation. Every AI-assisted draft is reviewed against an automated quality gate that checks:

Drafts that fail any gate are not published. Translations into our 21 supported languages go through a second validator that flags literal copies, language mismatches and unrealistically similar bodies — failures are kept out of the hreflang map.

3. Sources & Fact-Checking

We rely on:

Where a specific number, date or claim is sensitive (cost, safety, accessibility), we link to the source so you can verify it yourself.

4. Updates & Freshness

Travel information ages quickly. Our refresh cron reviews the oldest articles every week and updates dates, prices and event details. The “Last Updated” field on each article reflects the most recent edit.

5. Corrections

Found a mistake? Please email [email protected] or use the contact form. Material corrections are noted at the top of the affected article along with the date.

6. Independence & Affiliations

Piterpass is part of Key Group, the same company behind GetExperience, GetTransfer, GetRentacar, GetBoat and MoscowPass. When we link to a Key Group product (for example, a tour bookable on GetExperience), we say so. Editorial decisions — what to cover, how to rate it — are made independently of any commercial relationship.

7. Reader Privacy

How we handle visitor data is described in our Privacy Policy.
