Petrovskaya Akvatoria Historical Theatrical Scale Model |

Interactive scale model Petrovskaya Akvatoria tells the story of Saint-Petersburg’s foundation and the Russian navy origins and growth. The city looks like slightly different: there are no Rostral Columns on Vasilievsky Island yet, Menshikov Palace is still standing instead of State University building, Masquerade balls are held at Peterhof Palace, and the old fortress in Oranienbaum is still standing. The scale model recreates old Bronze buildings, palaces and parks —nowadays many of them are lost forever. The most interesting part of this model is the actual water area, where Peter the Great ships are floating along Neva river and Gulf of Finland.
